Doug Dale is the Co-founder, Chief Real Estate Investment Officer, and Head of Institutional at PURE HomeRiver, the nation’s largest third-party property management company for single-family rental (SFR) properties. He leads the company’s institutional strategy, joint ventures, and investment management platform, overseeing relationships with private equity firms, asset managers, and large-scale residential investors nationwide.

Doug leads the fundraising and management of PURE HomeRiver’s joint venture platform, including the company’s first institutional joint venture and the recent launch of its second joint venture. Over his career, he has deployed more than $5 billion into the single-family rental sector and overseen the acquisition and operation of more than ten thousand residential properties.

An experienced entrepreneur and operator, prior to co-founding HomeRiver Group, Doug co-founded one of the nation’s largest single-family investment firms and co-founded a staffing firm that grew to over 1,000 employees and serviced Fortune 500 companies before its sale. His experience spans acquisitions, underwriting, asset management, renovations, and portfolio operations across institutional and retail platforms. Doug graduated with honors from Butler University and lives in Carmel Indiana with his wife and their two sons.

Michael Catalano, Co-founder, President & COO of PURE HomeRiver, brings over 25 years of leadership experience to the real estate and property management industry. Under his guidance, PURE HomeRiver has become the fastest-growing profitable residential property management and technology company in the United States. A licensed Real Estate Broker in California, Catalano was named a HousingWire Vanguard in 2022 for his innovative approaches to simplifying the rental experience. His expertise spans from hands-on property management in his family business to leading nationwide operations. Catalano serves on the boards of Fourandhalf and HappyCo, contributing his insights at the intersection of technology and real estate. A member of NAR and CAR, he is a frequent speaker on property management acquisitions, real estate investments, and marketing best practices. His strategic vision continues to shape the future of property management through technological innovation and operational excellence.

John Hirschfeld is the co-founder and Chairman of PURE HomeRiver, the nation’s largest third-party single-family rental (SFR) property management company, which also invests directly in SFR assets on behalf of itself and institutional investors. John believes that property management is the hardest and most critical piece of the SFR puzzle. His vision is for PURE HomeRiver to help transform the industry through a branded national platform of scale, world-class technology, and deep concern for all stakeholders. John has executed over $10 billion of transactions in his career, which has included running Citigroup’s Global Real Estate Equity and Structured Finance Group, holding other senior institutional real estate finance and investment positions, and practicing law. Immediately prior to cofounding HomeRiver in 2016, John led strategic development at a national foreclosure bidding firm that acquired over 20,000 homes at auction for institutional and other clients. A graduate of Harvard College and Fordham Law School, John is based in New York City.

Joseph Polverari is the co-founder and CEO of PURE HomeRiver, the nation’s largest third-party single-family rental (SFR) property management company. A seasoned entrepreneur and fintech pioneer, Joseph specializes in building transformative SaaS systems using analytics and AI/machine learning. He previously served as a C-level executive at various technology firms, notably leading Yodlee’s successful IPO in 2014. Under his leadership, PURE HomeRiver manages over 40,000 properties across 200+ markets and adjacent cities, backed by a team with 3,000+ years of collective industry experience. Joseph is driving a deliberate strategy to harness proprietary operational data for PURE’s AI-native platform, eliminating inefficiencies and reducing investor risk at scale.
