About PURE

Pure is a next-generation platform providing timely, unbiased service for tenants, property owners, and property managers.

We use software where it shines; removing or reducing the time-consuming tasks for property managers, while ensuring owners get paid on time, and tenants receive efficient service and safe, pleasant accommodation.

Our group is small today, but growing. We like others who are passionate about their craft and enjoy collaborating with others, and seeing their contributions through to production and the impact they have on our users.

About the Role

To accelerate our progress and build out a cohesive set of products, we're hiring a PM to join our team here in the Bay Area. If you're excited to be the voice of our users, to own the product roadmap and to manage critical products through to success, we'd love to chat!

Joining Pure at this early stage, means you'll see all parts of the business, helping build the team (and the product) as we grow. You'll be a part of shaping Pure's culture from the outset.

We're looking for an experienced PM who enjoys seeing the impact of their ideas and their actions on users. We operate a lightweight agile development process and give our team the freedom and autonomy to do the right thing, and the support to validate their ideas and carry them forward to production.

You enjoy:

  • Being an advocate for Pure's users; our tenants, our owners, and our property managers.
  • Working closely with design and engineering to hone ideas and concepts.
  • Setting the product roadmap, creating projects to address user needs and drive business impact.
  • Defining and measuring success for product initiatives.

You are:

  • Curious, empathic, and user centric.
  • Analytical and able to distill complex issues into simple solutions.

Product Manager Timeline

Within 1 month, you will

  • Familiarize yourself with the competitive landscape.
  • Meet users, understand the needs of tenants, owners and property managers.
  • Plan an approach for the platform to address these needs.

Within 3 months, you will

  • Develop a high level roadmap for product and platform growth.
  • Plan and prioritize a backlog to meet the product growth needs.

Within 6 months, you will

  • Coordinate product dependencies and lead major features through development to production.
  • Take point on significant new functionality and/or platform improvements.

Within 12 month, you will

  • Control your opponents with Jedi mind tricks.

Our values

While we're a new company, we know we value the following:

  • User empathy - our users define our business. We believe we can build better products by listening to their needs, understanding their motivations, and building tools to address them.
  • Freedom and responsibility - we aim to provide you with the tools and support you need to carry ideas through to fruition. With that, we expect you to be diligent in your work and learn from your mistakes to optimize final outcomes.
  • Team support - growing a business is a team sport. We're looking for people who are kind to their teammates and in both their words and actions.
